David Dale Gallery is proud to present Ores, the first solo exhibition in the UK by artist K.R.M. Mooney. Occupying intermediary positions that vary in scale, Mooney’s sculptures distill both observable and imperceptible properties through placement directly on the floor, overhead, or in passageways. Inheriting architectural details such as the conditions of light or a site’s neighbouring morphologies, each project is a means to revise how attention is paid to the affective, embodied and relational aspects of site and space.

Moving between abstraction and site-generated forms, the three works in the exhibition Ores emerge jointly through their formal properties, whereby entangled notions of value and resource production surface in relation to the building’s history.

K.R.M. Mooney is an Oakland based artist. Their work has been shown recently at Altman Siegel, San Francisco, CA; Kunstverein Braunschweig, Braunschweig, Germany; San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, CA; Pied-a-terre, Ottsville, PA; and The Wattis Institute for Contemporary Art, San Francisco, CA. Recent two person and group exhibitions include: Callicoon Fine Arts, New York, NY; 500 Capp Street, San Francisco, CA; A Tale of a Tub, Rotterdam, The Netherlands; KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin, Germany; and Fondation D’entreprise Ricard, Paris, France.
