CALL OUT FOR BOARD MEMBERS.

Weโ€™re looking for two new Board members to join our Board of Directors at David Dale Gallery.

We are specifically looking for applications from our audience, people who visit the gallery and come to our events programme. We would like David Dale Gallery to be directed by and be representative of those who use it.

We encourage applications from artists, programmers, and arts workers, as well as those with experience in law, finance and property. We also encourage applications from all, regardless of experience, gender, race, sexuality, age and disability, in particular those who are currently underrepresented in the visual arts in Scotland.

David Dale Gallery is a registered charity and non-profit limited company. The Board of Directors are the trustees of the charity and are responsible for the governance of David Dale Gallery. As a Board member you will have the chance to offer your expertise and feedback to help shape the future of the gallery. Board members will attend meetings and work to build new networks for the gallery. There will be four meetings a year within which Board members will be expected to contribute to and make collective decisions on financial management, development and strategic planning.

Board members will also be accountable for ensuring that David Dale Gallery complies with its aims as outlined in the governing documents, and support staff to do so. Board members will act with care and diligence, and maintain a focus on equality and diversity in their role as advocate for David Dale Gallery.

The position is voluntary with reimbursement for travel costs and assistance with video call software available.
