The East End Vintage Bus Tour offers visitors to GI 2012 a one-off opportunity to visit four of Glasgow’s east end gallery spaces in addition to the major public art project on Glasgow Green, all in one afternoon. This free bus tour will allow visitors to travel to each space in unique style, on a late 1950s classic Glasgow double-decker bus, while taking in the lesser-known sights of the city. Whilst en route there will be a brief introduction to each venue and the exhibition or project.

Visitors will have the chance to see: Pio Abad, Dazzler at The Duchy; Sarah Forrest & Virginia Hutchison, In the shadow of the hand at Market Gallery; Kilian Rüthemann & Kate V Robertson and 10,000 hours at David Dale Gallery; and Least Event at The Pipe Factory.

A free bus service will leave from outside the City Chambers, George Square, running a single circle service around Glasgow’s east-end venues. The bus will depart from the City Chambers at 14:00, and will wait at each venue for twenty minutes, with the exception of the stop at Glasgow Green where the bus will wait for thirty minutes. Passengers will be returned to outside the City Chambers by approximately 16:15.

While visitors are welcome to hop on the bus at the City Chambers or any of the participating venues, spaces cannot be guaranteed and we advise to book in advance.
