For the closing of Rachel Adams’s exhibition Noon, we will be screening the cult sci-fi horror film, Phase IV (1974) directed by Saul Bass.
Set in the Arizona desert, Phase IV follows a group of scientists battling against an army of super intelligent mutant ants who are waging war on the desert inhabitants.
The film, written by Mayo Simon and starring Michael Murphy, Nigel Davenport and Lynne Frederick, was originally a box office disappointment but later gained cult status. It is the only feature length film directed by iconic graphic designer Saul Bass, famous for designing the title sequence for Hitchcock’s Psycho (1960).
The event is free and unticketed.
